360° cameras shoot every angle from a specific spot. But the picture is still 2 dimensional.
Matty — our 3D infrared laser camera is uniquely different than 360° cameras, because Matty can actually map the house as it goes through. It measures distances (like for appliances, or curtains). It also measures depth and has extra useful tools for your listing like floor plans and room dimensions.
Matty creates a digital twin of your property to give potential buyer’s the most accurate imagery.
What is a digital twin?
A digital twin is a digital copy of a real-world place or object. Artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies enable the creation of digital twins, which are dimensionally accurate 3D digital models that accurately reflect its physical counterpart.

How 3D tours sell houses
360° camera technology has been around for awhile now. Chances are, your smartphone (if it’s newer) has the ability to take a panoramic picture and stitch it together on both ends to create a flat 2-dimensional sphere.
But here at Dvhouses, we push the envelope. Using our infrared 3D camera to capture ‘scans’ (a digital twin) of your property, we’ve been able to sell properties sight-unseen. This eliminates the amount of traffic coming through your home; reducing interruptions while allowing potential buyers to view your entire property to make sure it’s truly for them.
Sending out the link to a Matty 3D tour also expands our reach in marketing your home to potential buyers in other provinces. Sure, we could do a video tour but a Matty 3D tour is the most honest virtual tour out there. Too often buyers view a video tour or a 360° tour, view the property in person and leave disappointed because what they saw online didn’t accurately reflect the true condition or size of the property.
